Upstairs

Well, this bit of the house is an amazing answer to prayer. We moved into this one-bedroom flat as we were about to become homeless. We thought that we would be able to cope with the cramped conditions for a few weeks until something else came up.

Two years later we were still there, with nothing even on the horizon!

Then we felt we should write to the council and ask them whether the attic could be converted into bedrooms.

Much to our surprise they said yes, and within 4 months the rooms were finished! This conversion was the second highest village expenditure for this financial year!

Someone once said, "Whatever is won with prayer, should be worn with praise"

So it is with praise in our hearts that we invite you to tour our new bedrooms!

The Boys Bedroom

The Boys bedroom, complete with gameplay centre!

The Boys bedroom, at last a place to read and study - oh and I think there is a gameplay centre in there somewhere!

The Boys beds and velux window.

The three boys beds fit easily into this big room, along with plenty of space for their toys, books, etc.

The view out of the Boys bedroom.

This view looks out of the boys room into the landing and stairs.

Our Bedroom

Sharon and my bedroom. Great to have one after two years of sleeping in the living room!

Clothes rail

Not having any wardrobes, we have had to improvise! Note that I only get to use about a quarter of this rail!

Top Landing

The bedroom landing

The landing at the top of the stairs, note the "oeil de boeuf" (bulls eye!) window. Nice feature.
